Drop-off/Pick-up Procedures
Drive Through - Student drop off and pick up will only take place in the front of the school off of Main Street. Cars will enter the parking lot from the north entrance and pull all the way forward in front of the school before dropping students off and/or picking students up. The driver and any passengers need to remain in the car. Please ensure that students exit and enter the car on the curbside only. For the safety of our students, families, and staff, cones will be placed so you may not pull around cars even after you have picked up/dropped off your student. You must wait until the cars in front of you pull forward. The flow of traffic needs to continue to move along. The parking lot speed is 10 mph. Please note that no animals are allowed on school grounds.
Parking - If you need to get out for any reason, you must find a parking space. Parking will be available when you enter the north entrance. Turn left and pull into an empty parking space in the second row. Use the crosswalk and wait for the stop sign to cross moving traffic. Please note there is no parking on Snow Street during school arrival and dismissal hours.
Families - We kindly ask for your patience and compassion toward the staff members working to keep our parking lot safe for everyone during student arrival and dismissal. We recognize pulling all the way forward or waiting a few moments to pull away after picking up your child is not always convenient, but these simple actions support the greater goal of student safety. Please remember, the professional training and experience of the staff on "parking lot duty" is in the education field, not traffic control. They do their best each day and greatly appreciate positive feedback and demonstrations of grace. The hecticness of the parking lot during student arrival and dismissal is a perfect place to model kindness for our children.
Staff - Please use only the first row of parking space in the north parking lot. Families and visitors will use the second row of spaces to park.
